One of the questions I've been dealing with after getting my camera is wether or not it is worth it to suck up tons of space by shooting RAW. My 2GB flash card will survive a weekend fairly well (unless there's a lot to shoot

) so it's no big deal there, but eventually my hard drive is going to reach it's own limit.
I'm planning on incrementally burning everything to DVD so that I don't run out of space in no time, but that's still a lot of data. I've only had the camera for 11 days now, and I've already shot 1049 pictures. Admittedly 40% disappear on the camera before downloading, but thats still enough data to more than fill a DVD in less than two weeks.
I love the flexibility RAW gives you for tweaking exposure and color. I don't mess with either very much (mostly to get a bit more contrast when needed, or to fix white balance), but when I do the result is a lot nicer than if I was correcting a JPEG. It just sucks that the RAW is so amazingly huge. Oh well... That's the price you pay
